Digital Forensics Challenge 2019

Digital Forensics Challenge 2019 hosted by Korea Institute of Information Security & Cryptology (KIISC) aims to expand knowledge of digital forensics and contribute to the field. The challenge has two main categories: a Digital Forensics Challenge and a Tech Contest.
Participants can take part in one or both competitions.
In the Digital Forensics Challenge, an answer sheet for each problem should be submitted with your detailed write-ups. 
The Tech Contest allows participants to freely suggest new methods in forensic analysis. Problem will not be given for this contest; the goal is to identify new ways to help investigators solve cases. 

Prizes

For Korean team,

  • The winner will receive ₩5,000,000 cash prize.
  • The top two will receive ₩2,000,000 cash prize.
  • The top three will receive ₩1,500,000 cash prize.
  • The best team for each category will receive a medal.

For foreigners’ team,

  • The winner will receive ₩2,000,000 cash prize and roundtrip airfare for 2 persons.

For Korean team,

  • The winner will receive ₩3,000,000 cash prize.
  • The top two will receive ₩1,000,000 cash prize.

For foreigners’ team,

  • The winner will receive ₩1,000,000 cash prize and roundtrip airfare for 2 persons.

Note, the winning team must give a presentation at the workshop & awards ceremony

  • Participants can register individually or as a team (maximum of six members)
  • No tool is limited to use if submissions include clear description.
  • Sharing answers or codes is not permitted.
